Hand Painted Bow Saw

I find these old saw blades at auctions and antique shops.  I have my husband cut out an insert to fit the back of the saw and I paint a picture on it.  This is one of my own designs.  I call it "Afternoon Encounter" It is copyrighted.  I got the idea for this painting from watching the deer in our own back yard!  We have a well worn trail behind our house and the deer travel back and forth on it.  One day I was watching several does.  Then they all stopped what they were doing to look at something coming down the path.  I looked to see what they were looking at and here came a buck!  The does didn't hang around long and ran off in different directions!  I hope you like my painting!  I am blessed to live in the country and see wildlife right outside my own window!

Hand Painted Turkey Feathers

I painted these six turkey feathers for a customer a few weeks ago.  He liked them so well he ordered three more!  He makes frames out of old barn wood and I am excited to see how he frames these feathers that I painted for him.  To see more of my feathers check out my face book page called "Country Girl Crafts" or my webpage at www.cgcrafts.com   Thanks!!

Rusty Old Lantern

I had a customer bring me this rusty old lantern and ask me to paint a scene on it.  He wanted something with ducks and water.  Here is what I painted for him.  I have painted lots of lanterns over the years but this one is one of my own personal favorites...wish I could keep this one
 :))

Hunting in the back country

I recently finished painting a large saw blade for a customer.  He commissioned me to paint a scene with a float plane and a camp sight in the back country.  I love painting these large saws, but I don't enjoy standing at my kitchen island bar for hours to work on it! lol  Here is the finished piece!!

Minnesota Farm Pond

I was commissioned to paint this saw with a picture of ducks on a pond.  My husband and I went on vacation one year as we drove threw Minnesota we saw so many farm ponds full of ducks and geese.  This painting brings me back to that trip and seeing all those beautiful birds.
By the way my customer loved it!!

Cross Cut Saw

I have been busy painting a cross cut saw for a customer this week.  He ask for a fall scene with an old barn in the background and old wooden hunting stand in a tree along with  deer in a field.  I think I worked it all in.  Here is what the finished piece looks like!

Hand Painted Turkey Feathers

I have been busy this week painting orders for my hand painted Turkey Feathers.  It is always interesting to me to see where all my orders come from.  This particular order is shipping out to Canada!  It is pretty neat to think of all the states and country's that something I have painted has been shipped to!  I listed an item in the Country Sample Magazine one time and my boys would keep track of all the different states that we shipped the item to.  It was fun keeping track.
